Sealed bids for Downtown Sewer Improvements, CDBG Project No. LR-ED-PF-23-019, DRA Project No. AL-8589 will be received by the City of Monroeville at the City Hall, until 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 29, 2025, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

A NON-MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Thursday, May 22, at 10:30 a.m. via virtual videoconferencing. Anyone interested in joining the videoconference shall contact Cody Anderson cody@civilse.com prior to Wednesday, May 21 at 5:00 PM for instructions to join the meeting.

Principal items of work include approximately 264 LF of 15” RCP Storm Drainage Pipe, 600 LF of 8” Gravity Sewer, 4 Precast Concrete Manholes, 175 Tons of Asphalt Wearing Surface, and related appurtenances.

The Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Form of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the City of Monroeville, 125 E Claiborne St, Monroeville, AL 36460 and at the office of Civil Southeast, LLC., 1831 East Three Notch Street, Andalusia, Alabama 36421.

To be eligible for consideration, bids must be submitted on complete original proposals. Bid documents may be obtained by visiting the Civil Southeast, LLC plan room (civilseplanroom.com). Purchase of documents (download or hard copy) is required to be added to the official plan holders list. No bid documents will be distributed later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids. Civil Southeast, LLC is not responsible for 3rd party document distribution.

The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.

Each bidder must deposit, with its bid, security in the amount of, form of, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.

Each bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama, 1985 and must submit with this bid satisfactory evidence of such license.

Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246.

No bidder may withdraw its bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
